Plant Cell Wall Research: From Structure to Sustainability

July 11-12, 2015
Bentley University
Waltham, MA
Chair:  Suryatapa Jha ;    Associate Chair:  Miranda J. Meents

Meeting Overview (from the GRS website)

The Gordon Research Seminar on Plant Cell Walls is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

Research on plant cell walls has pioneered our understanding of plant growth and cell function. This meeting will focus on cell wall research that is likely to contribute to our understanding of sustainability and the ultimate quality of the ecosystem. Of particular interest is research related to biofuel production from lignocellulose materials and the role of the cell wall in supporting biotic and abiotic stress responses in plants.
