We are exploring the organization and regulation of protein kinase-based signaling pathways used by plants to control development of specialized tissues and organs (e.g. fibre cells, stomata, lateral roots). Part of this signaling matrix involves reactive oxygen species (ROS) and we are therefore interested in the relationship between ROS signals and ROS associated with oxidative stresses resulting from environmental factors such as ozone and UV-B.
